Martha Hayes Gallo, 58, of Emerson, NJ, formerly of Charles Town, WV, entered into eternal life on October 15, 2016, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Cherished daughter of the late Rolfe and Harriet Hayes. Beloved wife of Joseph R. Gallo. Loving mother of Joseph Gallo, his wife Stefanie, James Gallo, and Matthew Gallo, his fiancé Leigh Wagner. Dear sister of Roscoe Hayes, his wife Rosemarie, and Alice Spickler, her husband Donald. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Martha was employed by the River Vale, NJ, Police Department serving as Administrative Assistant to Chief William Giordano. Martha will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her especially her beloved dog Brandi. Visitation will be held at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Tuesday October 18, 2016 from 3-8PM. Please gather on Wednesday October 19, at Church of the Assumption, 29 Jefferson Avenue, Emerson, NJ for Mass at 10AM. In lieu of flowers donation to Almost Home Dog Rescue, NJ, (AHDRNJ) PO Box 610 Allendale, NJ 07401, would be appreciated, please specify "In Memory of Martha Gallo."
