NELSON - Doris M.(nee Salvesen), 89, of Cliffside Park, NJ, on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Born in Weehawken, NJ, to the late Severin Salvesen and Olivia (nee Danielsen) Salvesen. Beloved wife of the late Police Chief Russell S. Nelson (2017). Loving mother of Gary Nelson of Cliffside Park, NJ, and Barbara Mahlbacher, her husband John of Lodi, NJ. Dear sister Janet Veit, her husband Herb. Doris worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Cliffside Park Board of Education. She was a Life member of the North Bergen, Auxiliary Post # 2648, a member of the Fairview American Legion Auxiliary Post #365, a member of Sons of Norway, and a long-time parishioner of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cliffside Park, NJ. Visiting hours at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Monday, April 3, 2017, from 4-8 PM. The American Legion Auxiliary Post # 365 will hold a Service here at the funeral home at 7 PM. Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 4th, at the funeral home at 10 AM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
