Teresa Devlin (nee Gascón), 95, of Cliffside Park NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Loving wife of the late James Devlin (1980).

 

Teresa Gascon Devlin was a 95 year old cool soul. She loved God, her family, her bingo, and her cats. She was an Aquarius. Independent and a great cook. She was modest and had style. A true Fashionista! She was born in Panama City, Panama. She met James Francis Devlin an American  ARMY Irishman who swooped her up and took her to the  USA! At first they lived in Brooklyn. She wanted a different life for her three children more community not a city.  They choose Cliffside Park ,N.J. Home of Palisade Park, Miller’s Bakery, Mc Corry Brothers, and the Palisades. In those early days everyone knew everyone. The town was thriving and Teresa was active in the Church. Catherine Devlin her oldest was beautiful and artistic she married George Kolodinsky a worker @ Ford Plant and a detective in Englewood NJ they had 2 lovely children George Robert Kolodinsky a principal @ F&D Frame Kathi Nubile his sister a principal @ F&D Frame & her husband Bruce Nubile principal & chef. George Kolodinsky had one child name Kara Kolodinsky a great granddaughter to Teresa Gascon Devlin. Next in the pecking order was Michael James Jerome Devlin a military war hero who worked decades  in the Wine Industry married a southern belle Judith Devlin they had 2 children Michael & Michelle. Those 2 had 2 sons Vincent & John Michael. Michelle is an engineer & Michael an entrepreneur.  Michelle married Robert Demascio a manager  @ PSEG.Her last daughter Alice Devlin married Aniello Martiniello both designers. They have one daughter Talia Fiumefreddo a designer @ AFR in Seacacus she married Thomas Fiumefreddo a plumber they have one daughter Ava Valentina. The fourth greatgranddaughter. She lived her entire adult life going up and down Anderson Avenue patroning church,food markets , bakeries and BINGO. She made numerous trips back and  to Central America. She was a furrier, designer, model and a kind soul in the community. She was loved by all. She had 4sisters & 2 brothers. She was an avid swimmer in her youth and had her own horse. At a young age she lost her parents. She always had a devout faith and she will be truly missed on this planet. Teresa Devlin was Vida=A strong life force. May her soul rest in PEACE. We will miss her. An end of ERA. Truly. In God we trust. Amen .With love & respect your entire family tree.

Postscript: Everyone came to the Devlin House to have fun & food.  Raiders forever!
