Obituary of Luis Lopez

Luis, the life of every gathering, passed away on February 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with health complications. Through it all, he remained positive, full of life, and always wore a smile, inspiring everyone around him with his strength, resilience, and humor.

Born in Isabella, Puerto Rico, Luis moved to Cliffside Park, NJ at 15 to be closer to his sister, Alice. Luis cherished his time with family, whether it was playing dominos, dancing, enjoying music, making jokes or simply being the heart of every celebration. His infectious humor, big heart, and generous spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Luis is survived by his children Elise, Doris, and Vimari; his grandchildren; his sister Alice; and his nieces Kathy and Erika, and nephew Steven. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him. Luis, you will always live on in our hearts and memories.

Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ with a prayer service at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at 1:45 PM at Fairview Cemetery, 500 Fairview Ave., Fairview NJ.
