Cliffside Park – Marilyn L. Mulé, 90 (nee Raimondi) passed away June 24, 2025, at home.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Giuseppina & Ruggero Raimondi, her dedicated sisters Oriade Walsh and Gloria Joerg, nephew William “Billy” Joerg and her beloved daughter Barbara Ann.
Marilyn leaves behind her cherished husband of 66 years, Joseph “Joe” Mulé, her daughter Mary Jo Simeone (Ronald), and son Joseph J. (Shoshana). Marilyn was an important part of the lives of her grandchildren: Andrew, Nicole & Alex Simeone and Sophia & Joseph L Mulé, II. Marilyn was also the loving aunt of many nieces & nephews, grandnieces & nephews, and Lyla, her great grandniece. Also left behind were her caring sisters-in-law Betsy Sileo and Ann Mulé.
Marilyn was a graduate of Emerson High School in North Bergen and continued her training as a registered nurse from Holy Name Hospital Nursing School. Marilyn was a serious student and excelled in being a caring and dedicated nurse. Marilyn’s was first employed as a nurse at Saint Francis Hospital, Jersey City and later was a nurse at Holy Name Hospital. Marilyn started as a floor nurse and later became a private duty nurse. It was not uncommon for Marilyn to remain with individual patients long term. It was at nursing school, where Marilyn became friends with her future maid of honor Joann Greces (Ciborowski). Joann, a high school classmate of Joe was responsible for introducing Marilyn and Joe.
Marilyn was a beautiful, loving, and compassionate woman who shared her gifts with not only her loving family, but with all with whom she came in contact. Marilyn’s manner was quiet and reserved; however, her smile was provided freely. Marilyn enjoyed many parts of life. She relished gardening, flowers, music, adventures, traveling and volunteerism. Marilyn was a longtime member of the church choir, the Rosary Altar Society (past president) and the FRIENDS of the Cliffside Park Public Library (past vice president). Marilyn was also the past vice president of the Cliffside Park/Fairview Chapter of AARP.
Marilyn was an excellent cook. Marilyn began cooking at the age of 10. She would come home from school and begin the evening meal while her parents worked. Marilyn never considered cooking a chore, but a personal fulfillment she provided for her family. Although it was difficult to choose a favorite dish, Joe most enjoyed her homemade ravioli made from scratch. Marilyn made her ravioli every Thanksgiving and on Joe’s birthday.
Marilyn had great faith in God and lived each moment of her life to the fullest.
