Obituary of Frances De Nichilo

Frances Wenderoth De Nichilo expired on July 30, 2025. Before retiring in 1998 she worked as an office manager and aid to a local doctor in Cliffside Park for 14 years. Prior to that she worked as a waitress in the Bergen and Hudson counties and in the summer, she worked in the Circus Restaurant and Bar in Palisade Amusement Park for 15 years until it’s closing.

Frances was a past president for the Senior Citizen Housing Tenants Association and served for several years (2000-2005). Frances also started bingo on Thursday nights in the 550 Senior Building with her friend Frank Stancati and Viola La Rotunda joined them.

She is predeceased by her daughter Debra Ann (1995) and her brother Raymond Wenderoth (2012), Thomas (Ronald) Wenderoth, Dolores Kramer and her parents Frances Wenderoth (1997) and her father Raymond (1995).

Frances leaves her son Frank Casamento and his wife Bleny and her daughters Denise Burdi and Laurie Van Gelderen Howell. Frances leaves her dear sister Marjorie Perry and husband Joseph. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Frances also leaves four very close friends; Barbara and Richard Frankel and Antoinette and Tony Rome, who have been a great help to her.  

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 9-11:30 AM at McCorry brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ 07010. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM at Church of the Epiphany, 247 Knox Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ 07010 thence to George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652 for burial at 1:30PM.
