Obituary of Cheng-Chi Yeh
Jamie Yeh, 50, Devoted Husband, Son, and Community Leader
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jamie Yeh on February 1, 2026. Jamie was a devoted husband, son, brother, and uncle whose kindness, generosity, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born in Taiwan, Jamie moved to the United States at the age of 11 and grew up in East Brunswick, New Jersey. He attended Rowan University and spent his life dedicated to helping others and strengthening his community.
While still a senior in high school, Jamie received the NJ Caring Award in recognition of his compassion and service. He went on to become a volunteer EMT, served as the State Lead of Government Operations for the New Jersey Red Cross, and served as the OEM Director for the New Jersey Asian American Law Enforcement Officers Association. He also served as Director of Training and Administration for NJAALEOA and as Director of International Affairs for the Taiwan Law Enforcement Task Force in New York City, supporting collaboration and community safety.
In addition, Jamie served as a law enforcement policy advisor to the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, contributing to statewide police policy recommendations and cultural sensitivity training. He also served as a liaison to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, supporting community affairs within Asian communities.
Known for his generosity and warmth, Jamie often opened his home to foreign exchange students and others in need. He adored his wife, Joan, and devotedly cared for his parents and family.
Jamie will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, service, and love will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
