Soon Kyong Choi, 93, of Englewood, NJ, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday March 19, 2026. She was born in Seoul South Korea to the late Jun Sun Yoon and Gil Nam Shin. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Ewha Womens University in Seoul Korea. She was a wonderful cook who loved her family dearly and was fluent in Japanese.
Soon is survived by her daughters Min Hwa Choi and Young Mi Choi-Sledeski; her grandchildren Nicholas & Andrew Sledeski and Alex Sherman. Also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are gathering at Pinelawn Cemetery, 2030 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY, 11735, for a graveside service on Saturday March 21, 2026, at 11 AM.
