

Obituary of Grace Marie McDevitt
Grace Marie McDevitt, nee Ritzinger, a longtime resident of North Bergen passed away on March 31, 2026. Grace was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Jack and her son-in-law Frank Florio.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Luppino and husband, Joe, daughter, Patti, grandson, Kevin Florio and his wife, Jaclyn, granddaughter Kaitlyn Gray and her husband, Riley, grandson Jonathan Luppino and his girlfriend, Melanie Higgins, her brother, Gerard Ritzinger and his wife, Elaine, nephew Pat Graham and his wife, Deanna, cousins Rick and Jim Geffken.
Grace was born in Jersey City and after graduating from Cliffside Park High School, was employed by McGraw Hill Publishing Company in New York City until the birth of her first child. She was a stay-at-home mom who volunteered in her community. She was active in the PTA and was the coordinator of the religious education program at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in North Bergen. When her youngest daughter began high school, Grace re-entered the workforce as an office aide at Perkaroma Coffee in West New York, a job she thoroughly enjoyed.
Grace had a keen mind and a caring heart. She loved to read, cheer for the Mets, and play word games on her iPad. Above all, Grace loved her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by those she loved.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home in Cliffside Park. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at St. Lawrence Church in Weehawken followed by internment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization that Grace supported for many years.
