This past weekend was heartbreaking for me, to hear the sad news that my longtime bosom buddy left us. Vinny was more than a friend to me, a brother, a comrade, my breakfast partner for 14 years. We shared many, many laughs, great times, coaching together, trying to golf, complaining about the Yankees. Since Pony League in West New York to Memorial High School baseball to breakfast in Hackensack. We were always there for each other. Our stories will never be forgotten, our friendship will last a lifetime and more. Lastly, I would like to send my deepest and sincere condolences to my friend Peter, and the entire Pitrelli family, wonderful people, I will always be here for you all. I will deeply miss you, Vin, I am not ashamed to say I love you.

Q: What will you miss most about Vincent?
A: Vinny was one of the most kindest , friendliest and humorist man I have ever met!
I spent many Wednesdays and Fridays with him in a golf cart and of course at lunch with the Designated Eaters !
Spending time with Vinny just made the rest of my day better !
He treated all people the same way with no care to their financial status , race or color. .
He always brought a smile to my face and I looked forward to our next "adventure" on the golf course.
It will not be the same without him there next to me but his memory will always be with me and all of the guys who loved him dearly !
Rest in peace my friend

I have experienced friends who come and go and there are those who leave a lasting mark. Vinny was one of those people. I was fortunate to be introduced to him and lucky to call him a friend. We shared many rounds of golf together celebrating great shots, laughing at the bad ones enjoying the day and looking forward to lunch.
I’ll miss pulling up in the parking lot and seeing his smile welcoming me. I will always remember the time we had together.
Rest in peace Vinny. Thank you for your friendship, your laughter and the memories.

Dear Meta, Vincent, Scott,
What a wonderful man Vinny was. His love for Meta, his boys and all his family was his priority. I loved seeing him at family gatherings with his dry sense of humor. He was a faithful friend to my brother, Jim, which I’m forever grateful. When you’re looking down from heaven with the Cerullo and Pitrelli families, Vinny, I can see the pride in your eyes at all that was! Keep us safe until we meet again. Love, Mary Cerullo Buda

Q: What will you never forget about Vincent?
A: Vinny was a very dear family friend. He loved to hear the stories about Uncle Celestine, Vinny Silvestri’s uncle. We always had a good laugh with Vinny.
He played Santa to my sons when we lived in West New York. What a Great Santa. So many laughs.
He will always be fondly remembered
May he rest in peace and enjoy eternal life in Heaven. ✝️❤️

It was our great pleasure to be friends with Meta and Vinny. We share so many memories of barbecues, luncheons, super bowl gatherings both in NJ and Florida. Plus I had the honor of being Vinny's partner in Sharon and Glenn Rome's Wedding Party in 1975!
Rest in Peace .
