In Loving Memory of Makrouhie Moumjian**

Makrouhie Moumjian was born in Jarabulus, Syria, in 1933. At the age of seven, she and her parents, along with her four siblings, relocated to Beirut, Lebanon, where the family built a peaceful and fulfilling life.

At the age of 27, Makrouhie married the love of her life, Sarkis. Together they were blessed with three sons: Ara, Shahe, and Vahe. She devoted her life to her family, raising her children with love, strength, and unwavering faith.

During the Lebanese Civil War in the 1970s, Makrouhie and her family endured unimaginable hardship as they struggled to survive amid the relentless bombing and violence surrounding them. Through those difficult years, she demonstrated extraordinary courage, resilience, and determination. Her strength and commitment to faith carried her family through one of the darkest chapters of their lives and became an enduring example for future generations. She would always repeat the quote from Jesus Christ in the book of Isaiah, "So do not fear, for I am with you."

In 2001, Makrouhie made her final move to the United States, where she lived with her son Ara, her daughter-in-law Knar, and her granddaughter Mariam. The following year, the family welcomed another daughter, Melin, bringing even more joy into Makrouhie's life.

Of all her blessings, nothing brought Makrouhie greater happiness than being a mother and grandmother. She cherished every moment she spent with Mariam and Melin, taking immense pride in watching them grow. Whenever she was with her granddaughters, her face would light up with joy. She lovingly referred to them as her "treasures," for they truly meant the world to her.

Makrouhie will be remembered for her quiet strength, unwavering devotion to her family, and the love she so generously shared throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
