Obituary of Gloria Mildred Bonura

     Gloria Mildred Bonura (née Madison), 97, of Ridgefield, passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Louis Bonura (1981). Loving mother to Deborah Bonura and Denise O'Rourke and the late Gregory Bonura. Survived by her sister Joan Pomidor and predeceased by Doris Carafa, William Madison and Eleanor Madison. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews.

     Gloria proudly served in the USPHS Cadet Nurse Corps in WW II 1945-1946, stationed in Haddon Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. She was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing in Jersey City and went on to be an accomplished nurse in various places. Gloria was a member of the Ridgefield PTA, a volunteer at Epiphany Church bingo kitchen, Ridgefield Ladies Auxiliary, and the Ridgefield Chapter of Deborah. She will be missed by all. 

     Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22 from 4:00 to 8:00 AM at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park. Mass will be held on Monday, May 23 at 12:00 PM at Church of The Epiphany 247 Knox Avenue, Cliffside Park, with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Rd. Browns Mills, NJ 08015 (formerly the Ridgefield chapter) would be appreciated.
