STATER - Phroso, formerly of Cliffside Park, NJ, died on Tuesday, August 3rd at Fritz Reuter Altenheim in North Bergen. She was 94 and was a life long resident of Cliffside Park until she moved last year. Born in New York, she was a graduate of Northfield School for Girls (Northfield Mount Hermon) and Oberlin College. She retired from Union Carbide. She belonged to the Grantwood Congregational Church. She is survived by two nieces, Suzanne Hope Graham of South Nyack, New York, and Margaret Hope of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and one nephew Thomas Stater Hope of South Gouldsboro, Maine. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothea Hope. A memorial service will be held at the Grantwood Congregational Church, 264 Columbia Avenue, Cliffside Park, at 11 AM on Saturday, August 21. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Phroso Stater may be made to the Cliffside Park Free Public Library, c/o Linnae Palazzola, 781 Palisade Avenue, Cliffside Park, New Jersey 07010.
