LOREY - Frederick J., 96, of Cliffside Park, NJ, on Thursday, August 9, 2012. Fred was married on October 14, 1945 to his loving wife Wilhelmine (nee Dettmer). Loving father of Robert Lorey, his wife Janet, and Donald Lorey. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, his wife Jessica, Evan, Jason, and Brian Lorey. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who was a member of the 2nd Armored Division "Hell on Wheels" and served under George S. Patton in England, Africa, Sicily and Italy and was engaged in many campaigns including D-Day Plus 4, Normandy, Algeria-French Morocco and the Battle of the Bulge. Fred was an active member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Fairview, NJ. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and spending time with his loving family especially on vacations. Funeral service to be held at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours on Monday, from 3:30 PM - & 7:30 PM. For information and directions, please visit www.mccorrybrothers.com.
