MANTANI - William John, 94, of Sandyston, NJ, formerly of Cliffside Park, NJ, and raised in New Dorp, Staten Island, NY, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013. Mr. Mantani was a proud US Army Veteran of World War II, and Recipient of the Bronze Star. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn (nee Vergona). Dear companion of Joan McHugh. Loving father of William R. Mantani, his wife Teresa of Old Bridge, NJ, and the late Donna Greenwald. Caring father-in-law of Walter Greenwald. Cherished grandfather of William M., and Steven P. Mantani, and Jennifer Greenwald-Brehm, her husband Kevin, and Keith Greenwald, his fiance Jill. Adoring great-grandfather of Ella and Olivia Brehm. Funeral from McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Friday, September 20, 2013, at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady Of Grace R.C. Church, 395 DeLano Place, Fairview, NJ, at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ. Visiting hours on Thursday, from 2-4 &7-9 PM. in lieu of flowers donations for Alzheimer's research: www.alz.org/donate, would be appreciated.
