I can just picture Al biting into a piece of Emma's crumb cake, saying "Now this really is Heaven". He'll be missed.

Al was a wonderful man, loving husband & loving, patient father. The rickli's were the best family who ever lived upstairs from us. RIP & Joy.

More than just a little bit of Al passed when Emma did. You all did so much to help him fit in again, involving him in your life upstate, and encouraging his keeping his connections in NJ. You revered him for his service to this country, and always included him. He got to experience so many wonderful milestones in the expansion of the family. He was a good man who lived a long life - and it was clear he had had enough. Glad that all of you had him around long enough to see you into adulthood and for him to have some sense of how wide his influence would be felt. May he rest in peace now.
