I have known Joey since I was a kid. He worked down the block at his fathers auto shop from where I lived. We played ball together, sung together, traveled together and laughed together many many times. His smile was what we loved to see and his laugh was what we loved to hear so we always did what we could to say or do something funny just to see and hear him react. :) He was in my wedding party as he was in many of his other friends. He was just loved by so many. We grew apart but stayed in touch and a year and a half ago we traveled to Vegas with some old friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. From the moment we picked him up at his house until we got home to NJ it was like old times all over again. It's how it is with us kids from Cliffside/Fairview. Your only a stranger once with us and then friends for life. I was never counting on saying goodbye to any of my friends this early in life and today will be very hard for me to do so. God bless Joey. Love your friend, Tommy Carlock

Dear Joey (aka Odd Job),
I only knew you for a short time but your warm heart and love for your family has truly touched me. I felt like I knew you forever. The times we did share with each other were wonderful family moments that will be cherished by all. I'm sad you had to leave us at a time when this family was starting to flourish again but I know you left us with a full heart and smile bigger than anything I have ever seen. You be well and rest well and know that whether here or on the other side, you are loved and will always be remembered as a beautiful and warm soul. We love you and ask that you please watch over your family. I will make sure your hat is worn by those who love you to keep your spirit near. Stories and memories of you will flood our home forever. Love Barbara
