I met Joan in high school and we became friends riding the bus to school. She loved JFK and her passion for politics became infectious. She was my Maid of Honor at my wedding and the Godmother of my firstborn daughter and she was my friend. We kept in touch through the years and she shared the tremendous joy when Christophers twins were born. She was my friend and I will miss her.

I went to school with Joan and remember her with love.She was a great friend and was admired by all. I especially remember her from a class trip we took to Palisade Interstate Park in seventh grade. We stole away and dipped our feet in the Hudson,which was strictly forbidden.We thought we were so brave! Joan and I attended St Joe’s together,which was all girls and brand new then. My sincere condolences to her family.She was highly regarded and will be missed.
