Obituary of Rita Wiss

     Rita Wiss, nee O’Brien, 97, of Ridgefield, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 5, 2022.  Rita served her community of Ridgefield for the past 30 years as the front desk attendant at the Ridgefield pool, front desk attendant, lunch aid and classroom aid for the Ridgefield Public Schools.  Prior to her employment in Ridgefield, she worked for Jaclyn handbag Inc.

     She was predeceased by her husband George, son Robert, and parents Edward and Lillian nee Bihler.  She is survived by her children John and Lorraine, granddaughter Samantha, great granddaughters Emily and Abigail, honorary granddaughters Kelly and Casey, honorary great granddaughters Dallas, Savannah, Charlotte, and Raleigh, and many extended family members.  

     Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 9 from 2-7 PM at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Ave, Cliffside Park, NJ, 07010.    A Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday February 10 at 10:30 AM at St. Matthew's R.C.
