Obituary of Caroline Apone

Caroline Apone, 80, was born in West New York, NJ on April 13, 1942, to the late Marie Apone (nee Parisio) & Ralph Patrick Apone from Hoboken.  She Graduated from St. Michael High School 1958 and then entered the congregation Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, where she received a BA in Spanish Language Education as well as a Master’s in Theology from Fordham University 1971. Caroline took a leave of absence 1977 from religious order and in 1979 she was released from her commitment of vows taken on August 22,1965. She continued teaching Spanish in different public schools, and enjoyed/loved teaching and being involved with a lot of people. She retired from teaching in Bloomfield HS, so that she could take care of her father. She enjoyed traveling, various hobbies, her pets that she loved, doing charity work, her church and much more.  She will be missed by her loving cousins Anthony Delmastro, his wife Theresa, Theresa Cerullo, her husband the late Joseph, Charlie Cerullo, his wife Janet, Meta Pitrelli, her husband Vincent, Charlie Parisio, his wife Lori, Carol Apone-Debunda, and the late Henry Cerullo and his wife Edith.  Caroline loved all her family & friends, a true people person, and will especially be missed by longtime friends Maria & Joseph Lopes and many other friends. 

     Visitation will be held at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ, on Tuesday Jan. 17, from 2-6 PM.  Family and friends to gather at Epiphany R.C. Church, 247 Knox Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ, for Mass At 12 PM on Wednesday Jan 18, 2023.
