Obituary of Joseph F. Romano
Joseph F. Romano, “Joey”, of Fair Lawn NJ (formally of Hoboken and Secaucus) passed away peacefully two weeks shy of his 91st birthday. Born in 1933 in Jersey City to Anthony “Tony” Romano and Antoinette Romano (nee Cammarano).
Before retiring in 1999, Joey was a truck driver for Gratale Bros in Hoboken along with other trucking companies. He was also a long-time drummer in a local band known as “The Easy Sound Company” retiring in 1980.
His spouse, Jean Romano (nee DePinto) predeceased him in 2020. He is survived by his caring son Anthony R. Romano and loving daughter-in-law Ana M Romano. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Anthony J. Romano, his spouse Danielle, Christopher A. Romano, his spouse Danielle, and Angelica K. Romano and great granddaughters Adriana and Peyton Romano.
Joey loved nothing more than watching his favorite sports teams (NY Giants, NY Mets and NJ Devils) on TV. Along with watching sports, you could find him on his recliner “resting his eyes” while listening to his favorite music from the 40’s.
