Jake was born on September 25th, 1979, to Cathy and John Ryan in Beth Israel Hospital Manhattan NY. Jake's Dad John passed away in 2006. Jake and his dad were very close, sharing sports and daily news events together. Jake's dad John taught him everything about sports! Jake's Mom Cathy remarried Rich O'Connell. Jake spent 28 years with a wonderful, caring Stepdad. Jake and Rich shared conversations about New York City and sports (which Jake taught to Rich) LOL!
Jake had a beautiful family that gave him love, friendship and support throughout his life. Jake had grandparents Estelle and Connie Haggerty and John Ryan Sr. Jake's Aunts are Queenie, Rita, Peggy, Catherine and Aunt Eileen. Jake's Aunts flourished him with cousins. Through Jake's childhood, he had the greatest memories of playing with his cousins. During his adulthood, he spent much time and became close friends with Renee and Terrie.
Jake had many friends and as a young child at Visitation School, Bx., NY, Jake adopted (in alphabetical order) Kevin, Rich and Robbie as his brothers. His sister-friends are Denae and Catalina.
Jake's forte was the Entertainment Business. Jake started his main work career being an extra in the theatrical world. He appeared in 'Love of the Game" with Kevin Costner in Yankee Stadium. Jake bartended for his Barry Family at the Punch Bowl and for the past 6 years, he worked for Madison Square Garden serving people from all over the world enjoying concerts and events. Jake loved his co-workers and supervisors at MSG. Jake loved seeing people have a good time!
Jake's mom, Cathy writes "My son Jake was the Most-Giving, Big-Hearted person I ever knew, and I am Blessed and Honored to have been given this gift called "JAKE".
