Oh Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's death. It is so hard to lose our mothers. They will always be with us though, in everything we do and feel and say. I think our moms live on through us. With each passing year the memory of my mother gets stronger. I see her now,as a full person, who had her own struggles and triumphs. Missing her is a part of who I am. What I learned from her is also a part of who I am. She is part of my history. It takes a long time to get used to a loved one not being there for us to touch and talk to. I wish you and your family peace at this difficult time. Life is so fragile and unpredictable. May you and your loved ones find an even deeper connection to one another in your shared grief.

I met Mitzy in the early '70's n connected right away. We both loved art, music, decorating n so much more. Because of her I got my 1st cat n became a cat lover. Tru the yrs we would lose track of each other n then connect again n again. She was a special person n touched my life in many ways. Rest in peace my friend, we will meet again. I love u:-()

Dear Tia Teresa and all of our New Jersey family:
My heart goes out to you in the loss of our dear, dear Mitzi. Because I
am originally from Panama, I knew Mitzi since before Tia Teresa moved to
New Jersey. I actually lived with Mitzi's parents when I first arrived to the
States in 1958. They were the first to welcome me to the United States.
My memories of Mitzi are many. She was loving and welcoming. I loved her smile and her beautiful blue eyes. I was very pleased to learn of her
move to Panama because it meant that I could see her more often during my periodic visits to Panama City. I last saw Mitzi and Tia Teresa at a family brunch in March 2015 in Panama City with all my other Panama aunts. Mitzi was affectionate and loving and pleased to have her mother by her side. Mitzi's love for family was one of her defining characteristics.
On behalf of the Panama relatives, I offer you our deepest condolences.
