Obituary of Lidia Gigante

     Lidia Gigante (nee Viscovich), 88, of Fairview NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Thursday November 21, 2024.  She was born April 12, 1936, in Trieste Italy to the late Casimiro and Giovanna (nee Giassa).  Beloved wife of the late Domenico Gigante (2016).  Loving mother of Roseann Gigante Hroncich (Antonio), Frank Gigante and Lydia Louisa Cotroneo (Vincenzo). Cherished grandmother of Michael (Jaritza), Sarah, Nicholas (Carla) and Vincent.  Dear sister of Elsa Viscovich and the late Mario Viscovich and Irma DeLorenzo.  Sister-in-law of Yolanda Viscovich, Antonio Gigante (Maria), Achille Gigante (Rita), Laura Biancamano (Franco), Columba Ventrone, Amelia Gigante, Guiseppe Gigante (Rosettina) and the late Mario DeLorenzo, Camillo Gigante, Vincenza Ratto, Angelo Ratto, and Angelo Ventrone.  Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

     Lidia loved cooking, gardening and sharing memories of her life with her grandchildren who were everything to her.  She will be missed deeply by all who know her.  Donations in Lidia’s name to: Our Lady Grace Church, 395 Delano Place, Fairview NJ, 07022 or the Academy of Our Lady of Grace, 400 Kamena Street, Fairview NJ, 07022 would be greatly appreciated.

     Visitation will be held at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Monday November 25, 2024, from 6-9 PM.  Funeral from McCorry Brothers on Tuesday November 26 at 9:45 AM thence to Our Lady of Grace Church, 395 Delano Place, Fairview, NJ.  Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.
