COLA – Emil, 81, of Point Pleasant, NJ, formerly of Cliffside Park, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at home with his family by his side. He was born on December 12, 1934, in Naples, Italy. When he was 21 years old, he came to America with his siblings. Soon after coming to the United States, he met and married his wife Dorothy. Emil was a very hardworking union contractor who would do anything for his family. He enjoyed watching football, making people laugh, and spending time with those he loved. He will be greatly missed by all. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Rossi) Cola (2000). Loving father of Patricia Avon, her husband Kenneth, Dorothy Durkin, her husband Michael, and Emil Cola, Jr., his wife Susan. Cherished grandfather of Danielle McAvinue, her husband Dennis, Kenneth Avon, Jr., Steven Avon, and Emil Cola. Caring great-grandfather of Zoey Avon, Kylie and Logan McAvinue. Beloved companion of Sue Peck. Funeral from McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Church Of The Epiphany, 247 Knox Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, at 10 AM. Entombment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum, Fort Lee, NJ. Visiting hours on Friday, from 4-8 PM.
