Dear Tricia and family,
Peg and Danny were childhood friends of my brother Walt and I. We shared many happy times together as I grew up near her on Edgewood Lane. Swimming at Palisades Amusement Park pool, playing volleyball on Thursday nights at Advent Lutheran Church in Fort Lee where we all gathered, enjoying hot dogs at Callahans or just talking, Peg was a happy, optimistic, caring and loving friend to everyone.
I know that she was proud of her daughter and grandchildren. She gave the best in everything she did and to everyone who crossed her path.
Please know that both she and you will be in my prayers.
She was one of the few people that knew me well enough to call me "Lizzie." Your mom was a rare and special person.
Sincerely,
Liz Hart Shanks

Dearest Peg:
NO one more sweeter and kinder as a childhood friend and supportive person in my life for oh so many years. You are remembered and cherished by myself, by my wife and children...as is Danny.
love you,
walt

Finding it hard to accept my dear cousin Peggy is now gone. She was such a delightful person to know with a ready smile and a gift of laughter. I always looked up to and admired her when growing up as she was about 6 years older and I thought she was so city cool as I was growing up in the country. I'm guessing she missed Danny and saying "Oh, Danny" whenever he said something funny or irritating and now they will be eternally together. Danny will be waiting to say "Hey you missed my funeral because you had to clean up after the cat, fall down and break your leg!" and she'll maybe respond "Yeah, and you missed mine!" I was just thinking I needed to call her to say "hi" when I got news of her passing. Condolences to Trish and Jeff and all the family.
