DECKER - David Courtney, Sr., 93, of Cliffside Park, NJ, on Saturday, January 21, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Doris C. (nee Niebuhr) Decker. Loving father of David C. Decker, Jr., Kenneth H. Decker, his wife Mary, and Janice M. Neilan, her husband Patrick. Cherished grandfather of Shannon, Kyle, Kelsey, Karson, and Shane. Dear brother of the late Harry Decker. David was a member of the 1941 Cliffside Park High School Basketball State Championship Team, and Cliffside Park Hall of Fame. He was a proud US Marine Veteran serving during World World II. David was a true patriot. Every time he passed a flag he saluted. David worked for the United States Postal Service in Cliffside Park, NJ, for 38 years. Visiting hours on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, from 4-8 PM. Funeral Service at the funeral home on Thursday, at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Hackensack Cemetery, 289 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, would be appreciated.
