On Wednesday I lost one of the most significant people in my life. He was the most caring and loving man I’ve ever known. His love for his family was endless and his love for making people happy was true. He always knew how to put a smile on your face. He was a hard worker, an inventor, an artist, a dancer, a teacher, he loved to sing and tell stories and he was the best father/grandfather anyone could ask for. I am so lucky to have grown up just downstairs from my Grandma and Grandpa. He was the most caring genuine man. He always put a smile on my face and he was always there for me. He was such a special person and he will never be forgotten. This weekend I learned how many peoples lives he touched. He has made so many memories that will always be remembered. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to say goodbye this weekend it was truly beautiful and we wouldn’t have had it any other way. He deserved to be honored for what he has accomplished in his 81 wonderful years of life. He was also remembered for being a part of the Army National Guard and it was really amazing having Honor Guards there to honor him for his service. We will always look at our flag and think of you. I know he is with my mom in heaven now and that really puts my heart at peace. I am heartbroken not to have him here anymore but I know he is with the best company anyone could ask for, our family. Until we meet again, I will always think of you, remember you and love every second I had with you. You made my life so special and I thank you for everything you shared with me. I promise I will take care of Grandma and I know you will watch over all of us. I love you so much Grandpa. I always have and always will.
