Nicolo Picinich "Cricich", 97, of Fairview, NJ, on Monday, October 23, 2017. Beloved husband of 70 years to the late Maria Domenica (nee Picinich). Loving father of Ferruccio Picinich and his late wife Judith, and Gaudenzia Pisani and her husband Mauro. Cherished grandfather of Tracy Correia, Rosemarie Mele, Sherri Occhipinti and Anthony Pisani. Adoring great-grandfather of Luke, Nicolette & Matthew Mele and Jordyn Correia and Mia Occhipinti. Dear brother of Maria Scrivanich and Giovanni Picinich and the late Martino Picinich, Antonia Morin and Lucia Scrivanich. He was born in Susak, Croatia on April 28, 1920 to the late Nicolo and Gaudenzia (nee Tarabocchia) Picinich and was raised in Vele Srakane, Croatia. On December 30, 1955, the family arrived in the United States from Italy and resided in Hoboken, followed by North Bergen before moving to Fairview. He was a retired Longshoreman. Funeral from McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ, on Friday October 27, 2017, at 9:15AM. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, 395 Delano Place, Fairview, NJ, at 10AM. Entombment to follow in Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview, NJ. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 PM.
