Obituary of Cecelia Barry

     Cecelia Barry (nee Protty), 101, of Bergenfield, NJ, formerly of Union City, NJ, on Friday, June 1, 2018.  Beloved wife of the Late Thomas Barry (1972).  Loving mother of Thomas Barry, his wife Eileen, Richard Barry, his wife Rachel, and the late Joyce McCorry, her husband Brian.  Dear sister of the late Rose Hulse, Eveylyn Schiavo and Gloria Chester.  Loving grandmother of Shawn, Erin, Kevin and Matthew.  Cherished great grandmother of Tyler, Casey, Colin, Shane, Meghan and Brendan.  Great-great grandmother of Myles.  Many nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews also survive. 

     Member of the South Presbyterian Church of Bergenfield, NJ;  former member of the American Legion Auxiliary #14, Union City, National Assoc. of Federal Employees #988, Teaneck, NJ.  Cecelia was one of the 1st  Women to become a Clerk/Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Union City, NJ.  

     Funeral Service to be celebrated at McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 10:30AM with interment to follow at Weehawken Cemetery, North Bergen, NJ.  Visiting hours on Monday, from 4-8 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations in Cecelia’s name made to:  Bergen Co. Animal Shelter, 100 United Ln, Teterboro, NJ, 07608, would be appreciated.
