From far away i leave some little lines for my dear grandaunt Helen, who left us these days up to new and unknown paths - fulfilled with brightness, warmth and peace. My memory of her - even if it's only little - awakens a feeling of warm serenity and the picture of her open heart and her genuine smile... and I want to send her and our widespread family my best wishes to cherish life and what lies beyond.
Me and my little son Fedja are sending our deep condolences from our home in Tuscany, Italy.
Marina, daughter of Helens niece Valentina

Dearly loved and sadly missed
A candle may melt
and its fire may die.
But the love you have given me
will always stay as a flame
in my heart.

Helen Held will be missed by all,
but her memory will live on in us all forever.
My aunt, Helen, was a warm, compassionate and vibrant woman who always went out of her way to help others—no matter what.
She was a wise and dignified woman with a natural nobility who had a passion for her work. At all times she looked out for the best for everybody. She was always polite, acted respectfully and was a great listener.
She was highly respected by all who knew her.
She never had complained about the difficulties of life. But when her husband died suddenly, it was her greatest struggle to absorb the brutal fact of his death. They were profoundly happy. His death was an overwhelming shock. Over the following years, with the help of close friends and family, she became able to life without him. There was no choice.
She was my advisor and confidante. Giving, helpful, loving, caring, and kind, is what defines her.
She encouraged me to make the best of everything and to face problems head on. I don’t know how I will cope without her—her demise leaves a massive hole in my life.
Aunt Helen, You have given us gifts that are more precious than anything in this world. For all you have done, I will forever be thankful, and my love for you only grows more with each day that passes.
You will always live on in my heart.
Your niece Valentina
