Robert W. Monahan, 90, formerly of Fairview, NJ, on Thursday, December 6, 2018. Loving husband of Barbara Monahan (nee Barton). Beloved father of Cathleen Porter, her husband Richard, and Sharon Minervini, her husband Sal. Cherished grandfather of Robert Lyndon Porter and Richard A. Porter, Jr. of CA. Also survived by caring nieces & nephews.
Robert was a proud Army WWII veteran. He was the former Chief of the Fairview NJ Fire Department which he served with for 46 years achieving Exempt Status. He was also a member of NJ State Fire Chiefs Assoc., NJ State Fireman's Assoc., former President of the Fireman's Relief Assoc., and a member of the NY & NJ Volunteers.
Visitation will be held at McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ, Wednesday, December 12 from 3-7PM with a Service at 6:30PM. Funeral from McCorry Brothers at 10:30AM for his entombment in Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Township Of Washington, NJ.
