Obituary of Gino Zilocchi

     Gino Zilocchi, 100, of Edgewater, NJ, formerly of Cliffside Park, NJ, on Monday, January 28, 2019.  Gino was born in Coreglia, Italy to the late Pietro Zilocchi and Quinta Zilocchi (nee Pisani).  He came to the United States in 1934 and resided in the Bronx, later moving to Greenwich Village.  He then married and settled in Cliffside Park, NJ.  Gino founded Zilocchi Statuary Co., before partnering and becoming President of Italart Inc., Hoboken, NJ.   He was a proud Army Veteran of WWII serving in the Harbor Defense Division.  He was also a beloved Crossing Guard in Cliffside Park for 14 years.

      Beloved husband of the late Rose Maria Zilocchi (nee Pellegrini) (2005).  He is survived by his loving children Joyce Olmo, her husband Larry, Vivian Parrilla, her husband Felipe, Peter Zilocchi, his wife Patricia, and the late Anita Falcaro. Dear brother of Maria Biagioni and the late Giuseppe and Giorgio Zilocchi.  Caring uncle of George Zilocchi.  Wonderful Nonno of 8 grandchildren,  Bisnonno of 15 and Grande Bisnonno of one.

     Funeral from McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ, on Friday, February 1, 2019, at 9AM.  Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Church of The Epiphany, Cliffside Park, NJ, at 10AM.  Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ.  Visiting hours on Thursday, from 4-8 PM.  Donations in Gino’s name to: St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl,  Memphis, TN 38105-9959, or Graymoor-Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement, 41 Old Highland Turnpike, Garrison NY, 10524, would be appreciated.
