This breaks my heart to discover my aunt passed away while recently researching our family genealogy.
I am the daughter of her brother, Thomas William Smith, who passed away in June 1989. Unfortunately our families drifted apart once my father passed, but I never forgot Aunt Violet or the fond memories of our times together when I was a little girl. I will cherish the memories of visiting Grandmom and Granddaddy and Aunt Violet and Uncle Jimmy spending precious time with us. She always knew I loved picking grapes from Granddaddy's vines, and we always had fun sneaking around to pick them while Granddaddy wasn't looking.
Life can be cruel when families drift apart and I regret not making more of an effort to keep in touch. I am forever grateful to have the few wonderful memories of my dad's family and pray you are all at peace, together.
With a loving heavy heart,
Sandra

I was happy for the short visit I had with cousin Violet, not to long ago. Always heard stories about Violet from our cousin Dorothy. May the two be at peace together, prayers.
