Obituary of Georgette Piro

Georgette Piro - 72 of Fort Lee, NJ, on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Georgette was born in Ischia, Italy on April 23, 1947 to Lucia and Benedetto Piro and came to the United States via Montreal, Canada in 1960. She was one of six siblings. Georgette was a hard worker and became a beautician and the owner of Vincent’s Beauty Parlor in West New York, NJ for many years. She was a loving mother to her only child, Claudia Waldow and her son-in-law Dion Waldow. She was also a devoted Nonna/Grandma to her beautiful grandchildren Hunter, Jake and Aidan. GiGi as she was known lived to see her family happy. She was an amazing daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend to many. She was predeceased by her parents; Lucia & Benedetto Piro, her sisters Giovanna Sculco and Rose Spitaletto and her brother Salvatore Piro. She is survived by her daughter Claudia, son-in-law Dion and grandchildren; Hunter, Jake & Aidan Waldow. Also surviving are her sisters Maria Mancini, Marie Petrone, brother-in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral from McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Avenue Cliffside Park, NJ on Friday, March 6 at 9AM. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Church of the Epiphany 247 Knox Ave, Cliffside Park at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum at 11:15 AM. Visiting hours on Thursday, from 4-9PM.
