Leyden, Francis X. Sr. age 85 of Fairview died on Saturday April 18, 2020. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee) Lair for 60 years (1959). Devoted father of Francis Jr. and predeceased wife Marion; Michael and wife Elizabeth; Joseph and wife Lorraine. Loving Grandfather and Great Grandfather of Lucas, wife Sarah Wolfgang and their son Gary; Gabrielle; and Hannah. Frank is survived by dear sister Helen and husband Phil Lembo; and Sister in-law’s Marie and Maureen. He is predeceased by dear brothers Edwin T. Jr. (Mickey) and wife Joan; Donald and wife Ann; John (surviving wife Marie); Patrick; James (surviving wife Maureen).
Frank served his country in the US Army. In his career as a maintenance mechanic, that spanned over 40 years, Frank worked for Owens Illinois in North Bergen and Stepan Company in Maywood. Frank’s real passion was his love for helping others, particularly family with their home projects. He enjoyed masonry projects and specialized in pool installations. He was a tireless worker.

Services and interment are private. A memorial for family and friends will be held at an appropriate time in the future.
