If you knew teddy aka. Poppi as I named teddy once we met at the salon on Abbott Boulevard. Many years ago we all loved Teddy.
Almost everyone then started to call Teddy -Poppi with endearment.... I work next to him for many years up to a few weeks ago. at O LALA Salon I have lost my dear friend, wonderful coworker. Yes, his heart was bigger than him. Rest In Peace. Poppi you’ve worked always so hard and always with a big smile to all. Love you my dear friend you will be deeply missed by all.

We were so shocked to learn of Teddy's passing. We spoke to him just about 2 weeks ago.
Merrill and Ted and Cathy go back at least 40 years. He was a sweet and gentle soul and his laughter and good nature will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear about Ted's passing. I texted him last week to offer help in lifting his planter, and when he didn't get back I began to worry. He was truly a good soul and caring man. May his soul rest in everlasting peace. I will miss him. So sorry for your loss.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear of Teddy's passing!! Alot of memories of him when he was in the city and we(Chary & I) used to go over with my mom and be last 3 appointments and drive him home!! His home across the street from the high school that my mom sold him and that's how we met!!! Teddy was a great person and had a heart of gold!!!! This truly is so sad, but now he'll be at peace!!! RIP Ted, now you'll have a new clientele in Heaven!!!

My heart is broken. My husband and I have known Teddy since the early 70’s when we’d cut school to meet at his Manhattan salon to get matching “shag” haircuts. He made us look beautiful and his spirit made us feel beautiful. So much so that in the past few years we’d make appointments with him in NJ when we visited from California. We’ll miss your sweet spirit, Teddy. Enjoy the party on the other side.
