John was a friend and a team mate of mine at CCNY..We were on the baseball team from 1957-59. John was a gifted player, honored to be selected to The Metropolitan All- Star team as a Sophomore in 1957.
He drove in the winning run against Manhattan College with a double, against the heavily loaded and favored team.He recalled he often dream
about that moment when I chatted with John a few weeks ago.
He represented his chosen profession Physical and Health Ed. in the highest professional manner.
He spoke to me reveal weeks ago, in the hospital about how he appreciated my visit which i will always hold close to me.
John spoke about Diane's loving care and devotion through his illness and before.
John was a Hall of Famer in all he did and his service and kindness
was evident in the manner in which he lived his life.

Dear Diane,
I don't know the right words to say, in your time of grief. I know he loved and cherished you with all his heart and soul. He may not have showed a lot of outward emotion. He may have even grumbled a bit. But he loved and trusted you with every fiber of his being. He once told me that he would probably have died earlier, if not for your love and concern.
All of our heartfelt sympathies in this time of grief. If there is anything you need please don't hesitate to call upon us.
All our love.
Johnny, Johanna, and Dakota
