I knew Dora my whole family. I had the privilege of living upstairs from her while I was growing up. She is the reason that I became a secretary. Her typewriter intrigued me when I was about five years old. Her mom would tell me not to touch it. Of course, it was one of the old fashioned ones that you had to pound on. We kept a wonderful friendship all these years. My grandmother was her brother Joe's godmother and so we called each other Comara. In fact, we called her mother Comara Grace. I believe she baptized one of my uncles. Every year Dora, Rose, Joe & Norma would come to our home at the holidays to visit my grandmother and even after she passed, they would come and visit my mom and dad. I only spoke with her about two months ago and she never forgot to send me a birthday card each year. She was one great lady and someone I will truly miss. RiP Dora.
