Obituary of Dora Capellaro

     r.i.p. Dora Capellaro, (1922-2018) at the sweet age of 96 years, passed gloriously and peacefully into the next stage of her soul's life and evolution. Rest in peace, mom, and Godspeed! I was fortunate enough to be able to spend her last week tending and witnessing her letting go of the limitations of her body. This was along with the great support of Nikitas Kladakis, Rebecca Vasconi, Sharon Gordon, Freedom (Hope) Mauran and of course my incredible solid and loving daughter Lio Capellaro (who has the wisdom, sensitivity and compassion of a wise woman in a 15 year old body)

     I was able to be Dora's shepherd and remind her that she contributed to many peoples love and well being both directly and indirectly. To think that in 1975 as I was contemplating going back to school to study medicine and then acupuncture, she mentioned physical therapy as one possibility. And now, the thousands of people that have benefited from her insight and spoken word.

     The funeral will be Wednesday, December 5th, 6-8 pm at McCorry Brother's Funeral Home in Cliffside Park, NJ, 07010. The following morning there will be an 11:00 Mass at the Madonna Chapel on the Hill in Fort Lee (adjacent to the cemetary) followed by burial next to her beloved husband Roy (Sr.).

     She brought light to whoever came into her presence. I am indebted to her and my father's kindness and gentle humor, although at times they likely wondered where I really had come from, being so different in many ways.
